Re: allergies to pharma. drugs

First, I want to say sorry and give you hugs!

DS1 has severe food allergies to Milk, Eggs, Soy. He had allergic reaction to Morphine {huge hives, itching, sneezing, etc}. Not sure why he was sneezing, dr thinks it was a breathing thing. They can test for Penicillin & Sulfa, I think. My oldest dd can't take either of those.

DS2 has the Egg allergy and is allergic to benedryl. {Severe hives, itching, eczema flaired up really bad, etc}.

Luckily, ds2 hasn't been sick since he was born, even with a cold. We have been lucky. I was worried that we wouldn't have anything to relieve hives, itching because he is allergic to benedryl. We are trying something else.

I get worried because if they have to have surgery, etc or get really sick and need meds.. then they are definitely going to go through allergic reactions to atleast some of those drugs. When ds1 had to have surgery and had already had a allergic reaction to just a tiny bit of Morphine.. I was terrified he would get deathly sick from being put to sleep. They were careful though and he did fine. He is also allergic to red dye, and other things as we are going along. I have really tried to shelter him as he had such severe reactions to foods that he stopped eating. I mean wouldn't eat anything. He would drink, but not eat. Luckily, he wanted to try his normal safe food and he started eating again. It is so hard having a little one with severe allergies. He was just tested again last week with more allergies. Peanuts now. {Blood test}.

Nobody but a good professional can really help you, I wouldn't search for advices online but would consult a doctor asap. By the way, some generic Chinese drugs can provoke allergies (and other troubles), I trust Canadian Online Pharmacy only.
