Re: Bi-racial breastfeeding

well im white and dh is black, so obviously our dd is biracial.

dd looks white, not biracial, but white. dh gets alot of looks just holding ehr in public. hes gotten a few comments as well. if he gets comments from just holding her, im sure a few will fly your way as well.

but who cares!? what you are doing is best for the child. 90 years ago when there was no formula, if you couldnt bf your child, someone else did it for you. someone cant bf this child, so youre doing it for them. i see no difference.

Re: Bi-racial breastfeeding

seriously, the bi-racial thing wouldn't even cross my mind, I'm more of cool, she's nursing! YAH for her! kind of person, plus i have family that's mixed, so it's a non-issue for us...

no offense to anybody but i think racial hang-ups are stupid. we're all just people. who cares.

Love some of those responses-What about pure shock, and saying something about "OMG, s/he was white when I first sat down to nurse!!!!!!!!!"
Or, "Yeah, he's usually white, but I sometimes get chocolate milk from my right side"

I'm jealous, too. My DH won't even consider a mixed race adoption-I just don't get it.

I wouldn't really care but would still would probably say something along the lines of "like I am looking for your approval ?" if I got a rude comment , for a look just a good wave and smile would make them feel real good and uncommfy lol . But that's just me .

maybe you could say you "got lucky and picked this baby out for yourself"
people are to nosy these days , if it was me I'd say I found the baby in a dumpster and it looked hungry but thats just my sick mind thinking lol

the picture is awesome , but I'de love to se it the other way around , I agree with the pp that it may be taken wrong .
i always say stuff like that. my ds looks nothing like me so i alway have ppl asking who his real parents are. my fav thing is too tell ppl i'm not able too have children and walk away like i'm about too cry. i also like too tell ds's very rude pedi that her hospital must have mixed up kids, but i like this one so i won't press charges.
