Shaina feel better!!! I had a bad tummy bug with dd when I was pregnant and it was awful!

AFM - I am still having that strange pain. I am convinced it is an UTI or something and if not, I have no idea! I am hoping she wants to do an u/s to make sure everything is ok with this one!!! I would love to see it again. But who knows, I would just like to find out what is going on! I will let you know what happens later! Hope everyone has a good day!

Shaina- Hope you get to feeling better. Rest up as much as is possible.

Kim- Hopefully the Doc will schedule a U/S for you. Nothing feels better than seeing that baby wiggling around and knowing that everything (in that moment) is right in the world.

Update: Enetered my second trimester yesterday and feeling it. I really do feel great. I've been waking up really early every morning and can't go back to sleep. That's really not strange for me anyway, so now I'm even less surprised. I am a hormonal mess, though, and my poor DH doesn't know what to make of it. I can start crying over NOTHING! Deep down I know it's silly, but if DH laughs or something insensitive, it sets me off. Then I'm mad and crying harder...even though I know the reason I'm crying is purely hormones. The joy of pregnancy...sigh. I read a book last night (yes all in one night...it was so good) that made me laugh out loud. If you haven't read, Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy, I recommend it. It's nothing profound, but it sure does make you laugh about the many things we as women experience in pregnancy. At least as far as the first trimester goes and very beginning of the second (for me), she has been dead on. Just some fun for the day!! Now I'm reading about hypobirthing...we'll see...I have a funny feeling I'll be an epidural kind of girl!

Have a great day mamas! I'm off to work at 11:00 and work until 8:30 tonight, meeting with clients by day and preparing income taxes for free for low-to-moderate income families by night.

Shaina hope you feel better. I hate getting those.

Kimir98 I posted on your thread about your cramps. Just a thought. I hope it turns out to be just typical pregnancy pains and nothing else.

AFM I am still thrilled about my gender news. Got to tell dh last night when he called from Iraq. He is thinking about all the sleep he will be losing in her teanage years along with our other DD. Going out to visit with some chickens in a bit. They were pets of mine til animal control told me they were'nt allowed. So I gave them to someone that lives outside the city limits. So I'm going to visit them and see how they are doing. Then going to lunch with a friend. Hope everyone has a good day!

Hadley, I am currently reading that book for the 2nd time. I love her writing, she is funny!
I'm also reading Dr Sears baby book and pregnancy book. They are actually easy reads, and entertaining at times too. But I'm an AP'ing mom, so I love the books anyway.

Kim, I hope all goes well at the Drs today! Keep us posted!
Shaina, hope you feel better SOON!
Jeddings, congrats again on your girl!

AFM: no m/s today. I think I've figured out what was making me sick. I bought some Rice Chex cereal for DS, and have been eating a bowl in teh morning. But I think that stuff dissolves (i know that is not the right word) so fast, it is like having nothing in my stomach, and my stomach does not do well empty. I remember eating that in my pregnancy with my son and puking every time I ate it. So I guess I"ll leave it alone!

Re: August Buddha Bellies ~ Tuesday, February 17th

Kim, I hope whatever it is turns out to be minor and quickly fixable and that baby will be perfectly fine! Shaina, sorry about the tummy bug. That stinks! I hope its a quick one and that you will feel better soon.

AFM: I almost passed out in the shower again this morning and I am still feeling not all there right now. I wish I could figure out what is triggering this low blood pressure. Sometimes I'm completely fine, but some days I'm not. It just scares me because I am alone with my two kids (3 and 18 months) all day and I'm afraid that something will happen to me and there will be nobody around to help me

Be mindful of what you are eating. A friend gave me a ton of grapefruits a few weeks ago and I was eating at least 1 a day. I was feeling HORRIBLE! Headaches everyday and very dizzy with lots of "brown outs". Come to find out grapefruit lowers your blood pressure and mine is low to start with!

So if you are eating some out of the ordinary check and see if it does that!

Also adding more salt to your diet can help raise your BP if you are prone to low BP.

Re: August Buddha Bellies ~ Tuesday, February 17th

I think if I added more salt to my diet I'd turn into the dead sea LOL! I am a total salt-a-holic. That's why this is so surprising to me. The only thing out of the usual that I have been having is my prenatals and Red Raspberry Leaf Tea. I wonder if that has any of the same properties that are in grapefruit that would lower blood pressure. Thanks for the headsup about the grapfruit though. I have a big red one in my fridge that has been calling my name, but I better not eat it now LOL!

Re: August Buddha Bellies ~ Tuesday, February 17th

Hi all! I've been MIA for a while due to my scb, but all is well now. I'm battling my diabetes already which is leading them to think I've developed type 2 and not gestational. It's not all that surprising though given my PCOS. So I will go next month and have all the additional testing done. I've been doing the black out thing, nauseous if i don't eat every 2 hours, low blood sugar thing. The good news at my dr's appt today was that i've only gained three lbs total and the baby sounds great (hb of 145 today, probably sleeping). I've been waking up in the middle of the night w/ one painful contraction that makes me jump out of bed. Dr seems to think that my irritable uterus is already acting up and i've been ordered no lifting whatsoever, which is not easy seeing i have a 1 yr old and 3 yr old to mess w/ all day, like Siobhan. Other than that, just waiting on my u/s which my office absolutely won't do before 20 weeks. Weird considering i had all my other ones done at 18 weeks. We're really pulling for a girl, but i really think i'm having a boy. Anyone else have an idea what they're having, but not had the u/s?
