Re: Favorite Training pants?

my girls were out of diapers very young so i started making my own. i prefer velour next to the skin(stay dry fabrics in trainers just dont make sense to me) and i let my girls choose the prints for their trainers and undies both prefer pullons(snaps=diaper) and are loving the Dribble Drawers, but they keep picking boxer brief undies and trainers to sleep in bc they are like daddy's if your child is new to PL'ing or not consistant with pooping in the potty i would recommend side snapping trainers as they are easier to remove in the case of an accident i offer many styles of trainers and you can see them here.
as far as how many, it totally depends on how often you use the trainers and change them. we use undies at home and trainers for my 2 year old(today:lostit) for naps and trips out where a potty isnt easily accessible. i would probably have 4-6 pairs per child and go from there.one child may use less and they may have very few accidents i offer a buy 7 get 1 free deal that would be great for twins. you can mix and match any style and size of trainers and undies.

Re: Favorite Training pants?

Around the house I just used something like the gerber trainers, I have floors and didn't mind mopping up puddles. But for going out I loooooove antsy pants (http://getantsy.com) Shaped just like disposable pullups, they are easy to pull up and down, easy to adjust absorbency, and can even be used for nights!

Re: Favorite Training pants?

I just started training my 2nd who has just turned 3 and is around 36lbs. This is what I have going on:

I have a bunch of gerber (size 2T) from my DS#1...I use them (I'm a WAHM) but I hate them. They fit funky and weird and run big and they don't have a very good layer of "support" for accidents but they are cheap and they are good enough.

I bought some Happy Heiny trainers (small) and stuffed them with 2 inserts. The legs are a little tight and fortunately I can't comment on how they work as we have been accident free so far They're big with the 2 inserts but they're just for bed....although if I wanted to, I am sure I could get his pants over them! The fit on these is good for him. The next size up which I was originally planning on getting was huge!

I also bought a couple pair of Blueberry Daytime Trainers (medium) and LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE them!!! They are cute...look like real underwear AND they hold a lot of pee (a full on accident). DS#2 came and told me he had an accident. I looked at his pants and they were dry (where they would have for sure been wet if I was using a gerber). I said "no you didn't" and he said "yes I did" so we went to the bathroom and down came the pants. Outside of the trainer was still dry. I pulled those down and put him on the potty....sure enough the super soft inner was wet! DS#2 said he didn't have any more pee so I know he let it all go in the trainers. The size on them is a little small. I wished I had gotten large as they don't have a ton of stretch although DS#2 is a big (fat legged) boy and I'm hoping they will be perfect for DS#3. They're tight on him...but not too tight. I would LOVE to have a larger supply of these but they are so darn expensive.....I still may invest in more now than I am knowing I will have to do it again with DS#3!!!

Initially, we just used the Gerber training pants, too. At night, we use QT Bunns.

Re: Favorite Training pants?

I wasn't in to cloth diapering with my first child so didn't know about all the availability of nicer training pants. When we did potty training for her, I used the Gerber, but they didn't hold anything and so I used the disposable pull-ups. Now that I cloth diaper my #2 child, I use a lot of wool. Does anyone have success with the Gerbers plus wool shorties? I am still a little way off from the potty training but want to get my supply up for this fall if I need expensive trainers.

I've been considering buying some of the Blueberry trainers
