Re: We have RSV! BOOOO!

I don't think there is an RSV vaccine.
Sadly, I took Torrin in at 2mo and he had the sniffles. I expected that they would not do shots since he was sick but (of course) they said "Oh, no. We still have to do shots."... A couple weeks later he had bronchiolitis and we came home with a nebulizer. Part of me just kind of wonders...

One of the shots he had that day (DTaP, I think) actually says on it's warning "Do not give to any child that has cold symptoms." So nice of my doctors to let me know that.

Actually, there is an RSV vaccine now. It is just an oral med that they give. DS got it at his 2 month check-up. Not sure how effective it is, seeing he spit most of it out. The nurse said it was good that he got "some." Not sure what that means though, to me it's seems like they would have to have it all or might as well have none. It would be like "kinda pregnant", ya know? I do know that it is very new though.

Re: We have RSV! BOOOO!

We have been home since Tueday with it now. Her temp peaked at 101.4. DH stayed home from work yesterday and today is my turn. She is also doing the breathing treatments every 4-6 hours.

I am hoping by Monday she will be rid of her fever. Like I said before, I have no days to take. At least my principal told me yesterday that I don't have to get to work until 8 and I can leave at 2:30. I didn't even ask...

She didn't have any RSV vax.
