Tips for keeping microfiber clean

I actually really don't like microfiber in diapers but I got a great deal on some and budget won so now I have to use them, they are brand new so I am looking for ideas to help keep them from getting too smelly. I need them to get us to the end of TT and it's coming into winter here and they dry quickly so that's a bonus. Does anyone have any ideas I should be doing from day one of use to keep them fresh, Thanks!

use enough detergent and dont be afraid of bleach. I use microfiber in all of my pockets and every few washes I add about 1/4 cup of bleach and we have never had any stink at all.

Adequate agitation with a detergent that cleanses well in your water. Agitation is a must with any terry.

Re: Tips for keeping microfiber clean

I use tons of microfiber inserts and my normal wash routine gets them clean every time. I haven't had any stink issues in years. I wash every 3 days. Maybe once every 3 or 4 months I will add a dash of bleach.

pre wash cold
long hot wash/cold rinse--cap full of detergent
short hot wash/cold rinse---nothing

When mine didn't look new anymore I bleached them.

Re: Tips for keeping microfiber clean

We only use MF at nighttime. To deal with the extra ammonia I have a wet pail just from the MF inserts with a squirt of bac-out. That fixed our problem.
