Girls names :)

I know I've seen lots of threads about baby names, but they weren't exactly what i was looking for and I didnt look too far We have plenty of boy names we like, but I can't think of many girls names that I like. The only one I have (we have) thought of is Carolina, but no middle name that sounds good with our last name (Neal). I'm not at all a creative person, and all the baby name books do not help me one bit. I dont like really "different" names, or really simple/plain names. I'm a little picky I have seen some very beautiful, creative names so I thought this would be a perfect place to get some suggestions Thanks!!

Re: Girls names :)

Do you prefer any kind of names over others? For example, dh and I prefer Irish, Scottish, and English names, as well as names from mythology and literature.

Some of my favorites, that I'm not/have not used:
Katherine (yeah, I like my name)
Clara
Gwendolyn
Isabelle (or Isobel)
Beverly
Annalise
Anna Clare
Lydia
Ameila

Here - try this site - you select "inspiration names" and it gives you more names based on those.

Re: Girls names :)

I would say with a multi-syllable first name like Carolina and a one-syllable last name like Neal, you'd want a 1-2 syllable middle name.

Some ideas:

Carolina Hope Neal
Carolina Grace Neal
Carolina Mae Neal
Carolina Marie Neal
Carolina Elizabeth Neal (the exception to the rule I state above. I think Elizabeth goes with just about everything - very classic)

Re: Girls names :)

A friend of mine gave both of her children a middle name that was a maiden name of one of their grandmothers/great-grandmothers. I thought it was a great way to include family and get a unique name (Caroline Wells was hers)

Oh my gosh we think alike! My DD's name IS Amelia. I was going to suggest the name Clara to her too! It won't be an option here, as DH gets to pick the name.
