How to respond to an ISO

Another etiquette question.
If you see an ISO of something that you have sitting around but hadn't listed FS yet, is it cool to just PM the person and say, hey, I have that, here's a pic? Or are you supposet to list it on the FSOT and THEN say hey, I have that, go check out my listing?

You can pm the person that is looking for an item. it helps to give them a timeline as to when to get back to you with interest before listing it up because some people do not reply back and ignore and then your stuck waiting for them.

sometimes I'll PM someone and say "Hey, I have X-item that you are looking for. I'm going to list it for sale on X day" or something like that and give them a bit to answer. Sometimes I get PMs answering an ISO w/ thier FSOT listing to let me know that they have one.
