How to encourage PL'ing?

So DS is almost 20 months old adn I would really, really like him to start PL'ing. About a month and a half ago he started using his potty chair on his own, but as soon as the novelty wore off, he was done. This past week I started putting him on his potty chair (or the seat thingy that goes over our toliet in our bathroom) but he will not go! He will go in his pants shortly after I take him off!

He knows what the potty is for, he watches Daddy and Mommy use the potty and as I said he has done it before.

Is he not ready yet? If he is ready, how do I go about getting him on the PL train?

You could try putting cotton fabric liners in his diapers so he can feel that he is wet. IDK, my LO isn't ready yet. I hear boys learn later than girls. Perhaps he just isn't ready.

I will try that and see if it makes a difference. His trainers he can tell he is wet, (I would think since they don't "wick" away the pee), but maybe if his diaper felt wet it would "click"... worth a shot!

My personal thought is that he is not ready yet. I have had very few children PL before two and even less that were boys. The boys usually are closer to 2 1/2 or 3 years. It really is so much easier when they are ready.
