Re: How do you shower with a toddler not showering with you?

I told my husband about some of the start getting him used to showering so he pulled down the sprayer tonight and they played with it, so maybe there is hope yet. (Or the idea of sitting down with him and showering with the handheld may work too but I may have a bit of a problem as he's starting to become my "helper").

Thanks everyone. The suggestions/ideas help a lot.

I shower at night after both kids are sleeping.

I didn't read all the replies. However, with my kiddos I keep the drawers in the bathroom kid safe that they are allowed to investigate. They only play with them while I am in the shower and my hair brushes, empty travel size bottles, etc. end up all over the floor, but it is a small price to pay to take a shower. This works for me! Modesty? That went out the window during child birth anyway!

We have a tiny bathroom so nothing but his toys can really be kept in it except in an overhead cabinet. The joys of small house living. If we ever get a bathroom in the basement that is a good plan to make it more kid friendly. (then I can redo the upstairs as the powder blue is ice).

I gave up on modesty too. I can't remember the last time except for when my son is in bed/middle of the night I went to the bathroom alone and I always have my audience showering.

I used to pop a movie in and DD would sit on the couch with a snack.

That all changed several months ago when she went through a destructive stage.

She now showers with me. It works out, because she hates baths and doesn't mind the showers.

My dd figured out how to get out of the pack andplay many months ago. I now get to shower when daddy is home or if I resort to a bath and let dd join.
