Re: Anyone started their diaper stash yet?

LOL I love how we took over the DDD 2012 thread! I wonder how they liked their newbie stashes?

I started buying for the newborn stash last year and didn't stop after the m/c. I think we are pretty set. I used prefolds and flats the last time and want something faster and more convenient this time since things are so crazy busy all the time anymore.

15 THX AIO newborns
8 xs Fuzzibunz
8 Blueberry bamboo mini's
14 tini fits
6 nb Ashtar fitteds

And I want to make another 12 fitteds (I know, like I don't have enough nb diapers already, right?)

From last baby:
12 nb GMD prefolds
12 nb bamboo double terry flats homemade
10 covers, 8 homemade

Plus, I have 25 small bamboo gauze flats that I use for everything from burpers, to nursing covers, sun shields, coffee spill clean up, changing pads and even sometimes for diapers. You can never have enough of them as I found out last time !

Re: Anyone started their diaper stash yet?

I already have all DS's diapers so I'll probably use those. I have a few thirsties covers and will probably make a bunch of wool soakers/longies. I want to do mainly wool when I diaper. I am really considering doing almost full time EC though. I started DS at 6 months with pooping and went full time about a month ago. It has been awesome to be out of diapers....but he also goes every hour or two, not every 20 mins like an EBF newborn.

Re: Anyone started their diaper stash yet?

Last time we didn't do a NB stash, so I am SO excited to be doing one this time!!
I've bought a few here and there and am on the hunt for good deals. I have a bunch of brands I want to try.

So far I have:
-2 xs BG
-a few NB mutt fitteds
-a few bububebe (sp?) NB fitteds
-2 NB Grovia
-1 size 1 thirsties

Want to try:
-NB simplex
-Tots Bots tini fit
-Lil Joeys
-NB Nanabottoms

Any others that I should try?? If you've done NB diapers before, what were your favs?

Re: Anyone started their diaper stash yet?

I have not started yet, because if I have another boy then I have MORE THAN ENOUGH diapers!!! However, if we have a girl then obviously I have to invest in some pretty pink and purple stuff!!

Re: Anyone started their diaper stash yet?

Wow, I feel behind. I'm 15 weeks and I haven't really got a stash to speak of. I'm making a lot of mine and so I have one or two completed prefolds, a stack of cloth wipes, and the cut-out fabric for a bunch of fitteds/AIOs.

I have been "window-shopping" a bunch. We only have ONE store with baby items around here and the cloth diaper selection is miserable -- a few packets of flats and plain PUL covers in toddlers sizes. I've got a ton of bookmarks for kinds I like and I'm hoping to buy a bunch of diaper-making supplies before the end of the month.

Re: Anyone started their diaper stash yet?

I am set for newborn covers. I have 6 Bummis Whisper Wraps, 4 Rumparooz and 7 Thirsties. I also plan to knit a few wool wraps. I have 13 prefolds and a dozen flats.
I need to get some bigger prefolds and at least a dozen more flats. I also have a Knotty Bottom Diapers Organic Knitted Fitted diaper OTN, as well as a KDB prefold OTN. I want to knit a couple pair of longies as well. I have a handful of OS covers, which is all I really need there. So all in all, I have very little left to purchase or make!
