Re: non-vaxing?
For *my family* we do not vaccinate because of vaccine related complications (they happened, so we stopped, and our Ped agrees with us).

Re: non-vaxing?
This is my reason as well. I have told my son's story before, it is here on the board. The pedi agrees that at the very least he should never have MMR or varicella and it would be safer if my youngest never had them either, he is relaxed on our decision about other vaxes.

Re: non-vaxing?
I also wanted to say that whenever these debates come up I think it is so, so valuable to find a Pediatrician you trust and is knowledgeable in addition to doing your own research. We did a variety of research before our oldest was born and interviewed Pediatricians before we picked one. Ours is very honest with me about what he thinks is necessary and what he recommends(we selectively vax) and I am always amazed at the things he cites usually as not very effective or a very low risk and doesn't ever question us about declining vaccinations.
