Re: I need advice now!!!

oh- if you really want to avoid using a disposable, I would just use an old prefold.

That's what I was going to suggest. I also use prefolds at that time because my DD goes through them so quickly that it ensures her diaper getting changed faster and no bothering her bottom as much.

My Mood:
Re: I need advice now!!!

I tried a lot of things when my twins were about a 9 months old. They both had diarrhea and diaper rashes. My son's bottom was bleeding. I will NEVER forget how desperate I was to help them!! What ended up working (within a day) was that I fed them yogurt (I forgot to notice how old your little guy is). It helped from the inside out. Also, it was recommended to me many times by a close friend but I thought she was nuts. Make some chamomile tea and use it to clean his bottom--IT WORKED!! It calms the irritation on the skin. I had tried to use Desitin, triple paste, butt butter, etc.--- the thing was that he had open sores and those were so thick it hurt too much when applied. If you're going to apply something on his bottom let it be an ointment, not a paste. Maybe A&D or even just vaseline.

Poor baby, I hope he gets better soon.
