I love love love finding fabric deals at goodwill! I got a yard+ of wool the other day for $1. It's great because no matter how many yards one piece may be, or how awesome the fabric is, the most one 'piece' is there is $1.99. I need to start checking out other thrift stores. I love hunting for a good deal!

Luckies! I am always on the hunt. Mainly I score queen-size flat sheets that are great for making fitteds or PJ's.

I must admit, i get a more than fair amount of donations from women in my church who are getting out of crafting due to arthritis. I have gotten some GORGEOUS wool with coordinating zippers and lining for suit and coat making, as well as several "skirt length" kits purchased in Scotland in this manner. I actually spent part of my "fun money" portion of my stimulus check purchasing patterns for these.

Re: thrift stores and fabrics!

Yeah... I make bags for a lot of friends and myself and always get compliments on the "vintage" fabrics that I scavenge from yard sales, SalVal and church rummage sales. I love 60s and 70s prints and colors and I love the prices at these places. I've scored awesome printed courdoroy (sp?) for like $3 for 4 yards... enough to make tons of cool bags with! Way cooler stuff than JoAnn's has
