LOL

How is everyone today? We are doing good. I just found out that end of term for our new school is sooner then I expected so we have to have everything ready in two weeks a little panic there!

And today is Cale's birthday - he is 9 This morning I was goofing around and got "mad" at him since I won't have a replacement 8 yo for another 5 years. BUT THEN I realized that a decade from now I will be HSing grade 5 STILL ... I don't know if I can handle that. We had Ian and Cale young so we could retire early and travel, I feel like I am standing on the edge of a never ending cliff of parenthood - WOW I was blindsided by how strongly I feel like I will never be "done" - don't get me wrong I ADORE my children but I don't want to be chasing kids to do chores and teaching Aboriginal History STILL in ten years. I know terrible to complain right! I feel like my life isn't my own to live being a HSing, SAHM and I just realized it is going to be a VERY long time before it is. It's conflicting because with the big kids I got into thinking about all the things I could do when they got a little bigger - only to realize I am years and years away from "a little bigger". Sorry for the ranty vent, I don't know how I missed the math that having a ten yo and a newbie means I have ten years to get back to having a ten yo but somehow it feels like a LONG time today

It's been a long day here. We're doing well though. DH had three days off in a row, which is unheard of. And tomorrow he works 12 hours. He will be out the door by 7am and won't be home until 8:30ish. DD won't get to see him at all. Makes me sad. But, the three days we did have were great. I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

We're having a decent weekend. The entire family is home today. Not sure what we're going to do, but we're all here.

Anyone have plans for today?

Not much going on today. Right now we are watching DH do yard work from the windows... This is exciting stuff for an almost 2 yr old boy!

Haha, DD does the same thing when DH is outside. She'll watch out the window and when he starts his jeep she has to tell me everything he is doing.

Haha. Caden is attached to DH's hip on the weekends. He keeps asking if Daddy is "all done" every time he hears the mower stop.
