Right Mom/Left Mom - anybody watching?

Without wishing to ignite flames, in light of recent conversations here, I thought people might be interested in this series of videos Kristen Howerton of (left-wing) and Elizabeth Esther of (right wing) are doing. They have conversations with each other about faith and politics (the most recent one talks about marrying Christianity with Republicanism, and I think its really good) in an attempt to model civil discourse and respectful disagreement. I think Babble is now hosting them.

I think that sometimes the desire not to get too inflamed does leave their conversation a little simplistic at times, but in general I really appreciate the rationality and sympathy with which they approach their political relationship. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that their identification as "Moms" allows them a more relaxed principled conversation than does the masculinist arena of public politics, which is talked about in terms of battle, fighting, boxing and war.

What do you mamas and papas think?
