Harley Ann was born at 2:33 pm. She weighed 7lbs 9oz and was 20" long!

After many weeks of on/off prodromal labor and two visits to L&D on the 23 & 25 because of contractions which I was sent home after, my water broke at about 3:45 morning of the 29th, at home, in the middle of our first winter weather storm, lol.

She is almost 6 days old and doing very well! She is sleeping well so far. At her first newborn exam a few hours after she was born I asked the ped to check for tongue tie. She had a very tight tongue tie and we clipped it, which was no big deal. We are breastfeeding full time, my milk started coming in later on day two. She has plenty of good nursing sessions and wet diapers. We're also cloth diapering like I wanted to and more of our stash fits her than fit N. Glad I changed it up and bought different dipes for her NB stash! She loves to be swaddled and loves the stretchy wrap.

I'm tired but happy. Especially because she came in her own time and things worked out well with the blood thinner. Timing wise it also couldn't have been better. I was home for Christmas with all my kids and my boyfriend was in town, my friend was in town and able to come to hospital for labor support, my oldest daughter was not working or in class, and my OB was actually in town. People also joke and say she came just in time to be a tax deduction.

I did choose to get Pitocin at about the 24 hour from last injection (about 16 hours before my water broke), but that meant only three hours from active labor to birth.
My boyfriend's youngest is 22 and both of his are boys. He is ecstatic and so, so sweet with our little girl. He has two weeks off and then heads back to work. I will be fulltime SAHM indefinitely.
