I love get a great fit with pins and my lo can go coverless safely.

Have you tried sticking them in a bar of soap beforehand? I found that helped a ton! They slipped right through the fabric once I tried that

That is true. i am the opposite. I keep trying pins but cannot get a snug enough fit for me.. without snappi I could not use PF.

So I stick with the snappi.. but have pins.. one day in the summer I hope to go coverless and want to use pins then. kwim?

Re: Diaper Pins vs Snappi's

I prefer pins, but use a snappi with prefolds because I can't get pins to work with those. We fold down in the back and the front for a nice trim fit and pins don't work well for that. (that I have found anyway) If I ever only fold down in the front, then I like to use pins. Pins are all I use on the flats.

You didn't have an other. Which I like Snappi's and pins, but not metal head pins. I like Gerber plastic head pins.

Snappis! I stink with pins! I really don't like pins at all and I have tried many times. DS doesn't complain with snappis, so I will continue to use them.

My mom used this trick when she cloth diapered! She said she never stuck us because the soap allowed the pin to "glide" through the cloth!
