Re: Still nursing at 20 months

Still nursing my 20 month old, too.

She doesn't nurse TO sleep anymore though. We got really lucky one night when she decided she wanted daddy to put her to bed. She's been falling asleep on her own for about 2 months now. She does nurse 2-3x at night still though. I am trying to nightwean right now because I am 20 weeks pregnant and don't want to be up at night with my toddler AND newborn. But as far as I'm concerned, she can day nurse for as long as she wants to, although she only asks anymore if she's hurt, tired, or bored.

You are not out of the ordinary at all. I think a lot of people become "closet" nursers after 2. DD still nurses several times a day, sometimes a ton, othertimes not as much. She is 26 mos, and shows no signs of weaning.

My ds is still nursing several times a day as well as to sleep and he is 29 months. NO signs that he is going to wean any time soon.

Re: Still nursing at 20 months

I am still nursing my son who is 22 months old, and he has no interest in stopping anytime soon. LOL! He eats solids, drinks other things, and etc, but he still nurses to sleep at night, to sleep at naptime, and randomly throughout the night. LOL!
