Do they allow portable DVD players on planes?

I am just making sure. I am devising a list of things to keep the Triplets busy for our trip in may. DVD's are at the top of our list.
I wonder if they will let us bring play-do

Yup,but only after the plane reaches it's cruising altitude,which is usually when the capt announces you can use electronics again.
I don't know how I would make it,if I couldn't use ours. It's a sanity saver
