Need help - food for work party?

I need to bring TWO appetizers to a Christmas work party on Friday (It's a smaller group of people -maybe 25 max-, I am a children's ministry Pastor at a small church).

There's an issue. I won't have time to make anything in the morning and I am working till 4pm then taking our children to grandparents who are a half hour away. Which means when I get back I need to go directly to the party.

I could have hubby stop at home and grab something premade from the fridge from Thursday (tomorrow) night.

Ideas? Help?

Do you have time to throw a dip in the Crock-Pot? Especially if you have an outlet timer or a programmable Crock-Pot, it's a really easy thing to do and there are TONS of very simple dip recipes online. Sweet ones with cream cheese and sugar go well with Graham cracker sticks or pretzels or animal crackers. More savory ones like spinach artichoke dip or ro-tel dip go great with crackers or tortilla chips. Spinach artichoke dip is very easy to make if you have time to get groceries. There are a million recipes but you really can't mess it up, so I usually don't follow one exact recipe but throw in what is easiest for me. Frozen spinach, canned artichoke hearts, sour cream, mayo, cream cheese, paprika, dash of cayenne...whatever you have and can make work.

Another thing you could make tonight is 7-layer dip. It does well in the fridge for a day or so.

Is there a microwave at work? You can do any version of Rotel and most dips in the microwave as well.

Elchoritto' options are better though.

You could do bbq meatballs. A bag of frozen meatballs, bottle of Bbq sauce, a couple spoonfuls of grape jelly just throw it all in the crockpot really quick before work and let it sit on low all day.

You could make a cheeseball and serve with crackers.

I was all in for the meatballs until she put in the jelly. That's just wrong. I don't do sweet meat.

It's the secret ingredient. They come out like BBQ meatballs. So good.

My advice is the same. Crockpot something or cheeseball. A homemade cheese ball is usually popular. Also you can make a heat a crudite with dip, some olives some rolled up deli meats on a nice platter.

I've done pizza dip. Jar of pasta sauce, shredded mozzarella, and a package of pepperoni chooped. Serve with a sliced baguette.

Deviled eggs?

Mini finger sandwiches also work.
