I cannot edit the title! Should be week 23!
How did the walk through go? That is such an awesome idea, and pretty smart on the managers part! I have been very lazy the past few days! I am realizing I need to find a balance between being out of the house and keeping the house tidy! This week I need to go through and clean the master bedroom. We want to paint so I need to have it all clean first. I also need to corral the toys into the playroom (I will make dh clean it this time) and empty one bin. We also have drs appointments (one which will be an all day thing)...and i am not planning on doing any projects friday and saturday. I also need to run some errands on tomorrow to catch some sales. This is what my general schedule will look like. Monday - go to lowes for paint and best buy for laptop and phone. clean half of bedroom by master dresser Tuesday - clean half of room by closet Wednesday - dust/vacuum master, corral up toys in basement Thursday - go through one bin. I am also going to make myself accountable for other things I need to not lose track of while I am working on projects... Each morning I will: Empty dishwasher Load dishwasher (if needed) Make sure I have everything ready for dinner Throw laundry in Each evening I will: Put shoes away Put bags away Vacuum Wipe down table Load and run dishwasher Make sure laundry is put away Tidy island Take anything downstairs that needs to go down there Wipe down kitchen Wipe down bathroom Daily task: Monday - dust/ whole house vacuum Tuesday - wash windows and glass Wednesday - clean bathrooms, clean out fridge Thursday - take all laundry downstairs and sort |

You set your own goals. The theory is in 52 weeks you can accomplish 52 projects! Move at your own pace and customize for your family!

Re: 52 weeks of organizing week 53
Mel- That is the same problem that I have with the balance of cleaning/being out of the house. I am so bad with that
![]() Still waiting to hear back to set up a day this week for a walk through. We haven't been able to get a hold of him with it being the holiday weekend. I think he took Friday-today off so hopefully he will be in tomorrow. I think we're shooting for Thursday this week because that's the only day that we don't have major plans. The next week and a half are seriously CRAZY at our house. We have DD's last meeting for school, 3 graduations, a graduation dinner (friend is finishing up culinary school and needs to have a certain amount of people come to a dinner for a final), and one of those graduations is 9 hours away so it's a 3 day ordeal. We were going to do Disney while we were down there but I think we're going to end up going back in July. Once we get back we have my MIL's annual party. Oh, and my DD is getting her first haircut on Wednesday . I am feeling really sad about it for some reason. With everything that is going on I am not even really worried about decluttering for the next two weeks. I know that's bad but I seriously just need to focus on keeping the house really clean for our walk through and then keep it tidy until I can really spend the time to focus on it again. I am going through and tidying each room today and tomorrow. I have finished the kids' rooms, guest bath, laundry room and living room so far today. I think I am going to just finish up the kitchen and dining room and then dedicate tomorrow to my room, master bath and the playroom. I'm sure there will probably be a little bit of decluttering as I go anyways

Re: 52 weeks of organizing week 53
Thanks Mel! As I'm jumping in at the halfway point, I won't get 52 projects done, but it wouldn't hurt to try to set a goal for this week.
My goal for the week is to organize/declutter the cabinet where I keep photo boxes, cameras, etc. 1. Order pictures for albums. 2. Get pics in albums. 3. Put videos on computer 4. Put videos on DVDs 5. Organize cabinet 6. Toss anything I can!! I might need 2 weeks for this...lol.

Re: 52 weeks of organizing week 53
Walk through went awesome! Everything seems to be fine so far, but the landlords said that they want to meet any prospective tenants so the property manager is going to call them and set it up. Life in our house is CRAZY right now, but on the bright side my house is super clean and the whole walk through thing kicked my DH's butt into gear on the projects that I've been needing him to do
. Hopefully I can just keep maintaining this until after the craziness dies down.

Well, good and bad for me so far!
I did not get as much as I wanted to done this week, both ds's have some medical things going on, so I spent a lot of time on the phone and Tuesday was spent at an all day clinic from 10:30-7!!! I still need to coral up the kids toys and go through one bin. I am hoping to do that Saturday night or Sunday. On a good note, I finally got to best buy, so I have my new computer (lost the first in a lightning storm and was waiting on insurance). I also got the master totally done, all I have left is sweeping and dusting...hoping to paint this week (paint is bought, just need a brush so dh can edge! He does it so much better than using tape). I also found the phone and bought it, and found the baby monitor I want to buy. Now all I have left to replace is the garage doors, have the electrician come out, and buy dh a new drill, and buy the fridge from a family member. Insurance wanted to pay to fix ours, but I like the idea of getting something newer for the same amount! We might get an iPad instead if a new desktop, but everything else is done! That is a huge weight off my shoulders! |
