Re: apps and sites to make some extra money

I have not logged into DS for forever, but I found a little side job online and thought of my days here doing Swagbucks and such and thought I'd spread the word if you all don't know about it yet.

If you are good with English grammar and a fast typer, TranscribeMe (transcribeme.com) is a transcription job you can do after passing one test (you'll need to read their style guide -- it took me 2 tries to pass!). The pay is lower than other transcription jobs, but that's because the qualifications to start working are so low, I think. It's micro-transcription, so you get 1-2 minutes of audio to do at a time and it pays about .50c per file. In the beginning it takes awhile to do one file so the actual hourly pay is low, but as you get better and faster that means more money per hour worked. Work is not guaranteed to be available all the time because they are basically crowd sourcing what ever their clients upload, but if you get good you can be invited to be part of special teams which have more regular work available (but still totally as little or as much as you want, whenever you can do it). They pay out weekly via PayPal, minimum of $20 in your account to get paid. I've never had trouble getting paid. It's not enough for a full second income or anything, but it's good mad money for me.

You will need headphones and a desktop running chrome.

Anyway, I still see some familiar names around...hope everyone is having a good holiday season!

I pretty much like it, I have to say. If you want to start, I can recommend you to use the help of the trading academy from https://alpha7trading.com/ It is a very nice way to discover new things for you regarding stocks and trading. I guess you can succeed in it if you work hard

Re: apps and sites to make some extra money

Upworks is perfect for freelancers
Different surveys can't bring much money, but that's rather stable I think
Online casinos and gambling sites are not bad, just choose secure ones, preferably with good bonuses for beginners ( like 400% bonus up to €1500 for example)
Trading must be the most profitable, but one gotta be rather experienced and smart to make money on it instead of losing

I agree, I like upwork for freelance writing, but you have to be careful because there are some that want to only pay you pennies. Another site I like for freelance writing is blogmutt.

Re: apps and sites to make some extra money

I haven't been on here in ages, my baby is now almost four! Hard to believe. Anyway, for the past year I've been doing VIPKID and it has been awesome. I quit my regular teaching job that I was miserable in and now I teach VIPKID online in the mornings and do some freelance writing. It isn't technically a 'job' you are a freelancer (independent contractor) and you set your own hours. I make about 21/hour doing it but I think the official range is like 14-24 or something. Most people make between 18-21. If you are interested in applying you do have to have a bachelor's degree. I just wanted to share in case anyone is interested. They are pretty picky about who they hire so feel free to PM me if you have questions about their hiring process.

You can apply here: vipkid.com
