Wow-- what a nut. I say you went above and beyond. I would not respond to anymore emails from her after this.

I wouldn't worry. Like I said for her to do anything legally she would have to take you to court. Not worth anyone's time. I'd keep all the emails just in case.

Re: Update #30: Craigslist sale went wrong..what should I do?

Make me wonder if I should put a no return policy on my CL listings. I could see if she was unable to inspect it before hand, but she could of when she picked it up. She could of even had you explain how it all works.
My first purchase on CL, I meet them and they loaded right in to my van, I never considered looking at it, not sure if I would of noticed the flaws right then of not. It was a dog cage for real cheap, that was assembled wrong. The cage was forced together and the door was upside down. We replaced the cage and resold that one on CL, I disclosed the whole story to the buyer.
Now I am more cautious on inspecting what i get. But I would never of asked for my money back, when it was my fault that I did not inspect it.

i would just ignore her emails from now on

but on the subject of giving a lower offer, i always do it, because i think most people are like me, and price things for a little bit more than what they are willing to get for it. I always price things higher than what i will take for them because no one likes to pay asking price for things

Agreed on the pricing! I've never listed something on Craigslist and had a single buyer offer to pay my asking price. Everyone always offers less! I now price up slightly so I can get closer to what I want.

Re: Update #30: Craigslist sale went wrong..what should I do?

This is a case of buyers remorse and not taking responsibility. The buyer should have taken more time to think through her decisions. I would not refund her, its craigslist for crying out loud- if she had bought the set at a random yard sale would she stalk the people for a refund? She seems excessive and I would politely inform her of her right to relist, but that you have no obligation to refund her. I would then block her emails and phone number.

Edited to add: It's one thing to buy an item unseen until it arrives and then find an issue to demand a refund. Its another thing to purchase an item you had a chance to physically lay eyes on and review before purchasing and complain later after getting it home.
