Re: NO contact from seller, What to do?

This all sounds extremely fishy to me. Forgot to send, then no communication, then refunds from wrong account?

Would definitely PM a mod with the name of the seller.

Re: NO contact from seller, What to do?

Nope, it won't. Paypal's official stand on this kind of situation is that all they can do is TRY to get your money back. If the seller account is empty there's nothing they can do. You can speak with a good customer service agent who may be able to get Paypal to cover your refund as a courtesy, but that depends on the agent, and on your own persistence.

It sounded legit until the wrong account part. With working full time/kids/pick up daycare I have forgotten about a package for a few days cause if fell under the seat--but I let the buyer know ASAP

Hope you get your money.

All refunds that I have given/recieved do take 3 to 4 days. If she has a bank account linked to the pp account the refund should go through (at least the one I had to do,. Didn't quite have enough in my pp account)

PayPal might push the sellers account into the negative to cover your refund. This happened to my brother once. He sold an old iphone to someone international and when it went missing during shipment, the seller filed with paypal, tried to withdraw the money from my brothers account, and when it didn't go through, it put his paypal account at a negative balance to refund the buyer.

Re: NO contact from seller, What to do?

I guess I always had a weird feeling about it, which I why I just decided to cancel the transaction. But she has great reviews so I thought I was just being crazy. And then when she said the paypal thing.....a red flag came up. So I just messaged a mod and I'm hoping to figure it out! Thanks!

This does happen sometimes. And if it doesn't, she can update her account information after the refund is denied, THEN refund you. Just don't close the claim until you get your money.
