Camping with 7 month old?

Hi All, we're headed out camping with the little one this weekend. Did any of you camp with your little one around 7 months old? Any suggestions for what they can sleep in in the tent? Also- since he still isn't using a blanket- will he's PJ's keep him warm enough? It drops into the 60s at night. Hmmmmm.....

ANy suggestions would be super helpful. THanks!

John

Re: Camping with 7 month old?

When we camp with little ones, either my husband and I will zip our sleeping bags together and tuck the baby between us, or I just take the baby in my sleeping bag with me. I always worry about babies getting cold at night while camping.

Zipping the bags together is a good thought. THanks for the idea!

We used a puffy vest as an outdoor sleep sack alternative. It worked great.

Re: Camping with 7 month old?

60s isn't a bad temp, I wouldn't worry one bit.

We put babies and toddlers in pack n plays to keep them from getting mixed up in all the other kids' bedding and such. They wear cotton pjs with wool ski socks, wool pants and sweaters over the pjs, with a wool sleep sack over that. This is the same as what they wore at home in winter until we got a wood stove, and while they were never sweaty at home, more often than not camping we would have to peel off layers.
