Help me find diapers for my BIG boy!

So my oldest son is 25 months old. He's 33lbs and 38 inches. He has been in large GAD's for about 6 months. They're starting to leave pretty bad red marks on him. The problems seems to be that he's just really wide. Like with GM's, the hip snap dug into him so bad those were not an option at all. His Loveybums fit great, but I'm not sure I want to go the fitted route entirely with him, mainly because I can't afford a bunch of wool covers for him and with winter coming going without pants is just not an option.

the BIG problem is I have no money. Like 0. So I'm going to have to sell off all of his GAD's and only buy with what I get from them. I think I have 13 or 14. So whatever I buy needs to be cheap and fit him well. I figure I'll need 10-12 diapers.

I'm getting a bunch of piddle poddles in but dont anticipate them fitting him as the only OS diaper I've found that does is BSRB and with those if I dont pin them juuuust right the pins dig into him. I have a few toddler prefolds but they're almost not wide enough. I can crochet and I'm learning to knit in a few weeks (taking a class WOOO!!) so I can knit him longies and shorties for winter if I go with fitteds.

Let me know what you think! Oh and he wears sposies for naps and bed time.

Thank you!

I would go with the GMD prefolds. They are wider so I'd bet they'd fit better. Good luck!

Hi, I don't know what your budget is, but have you considered having someone make some for you? There are some cool WAHMs with great diapes on here. I ordered some from "jen0302" and I believe she makes XL. Her prices are pretty good and she's super nice! I had to buy a TON of dipes so having a price break was nice

I make diapers up to 2XL and can do custom sizes bigger than that. Happy to give discount since you want to purchase a good amount. Check out my site...

Re: Help me find diapers for my BIG boy!

Since you have been using GADs and know they work, did you know that Shannon (of GAD) makes an XL size? You can custom order it through her when her custom slots open on Thursdays. If I were you, I'd look into that option before finding a whole new diaper (system) to work with! HTHs

Oh, and used large GADs sell pretty well on FSOT so you should be able to recoup a good amount of money to fund XLs!
