thirsties pfs or flip "night" inserts for out and about?

I need something to keep in the diaper bag that will last longer than what we use while in the house. Which would be the best option for an out and about insert? I would go with an AIO bc they are so easy, but I don't want to spend that much $ on something that will usually be in the diaper bag :/

Try a size 1 Thirsties prefold. The Size 2 was part of our night diaper before I gave up.

I say thirsties size 1, they are trimmer than the flip, we use the flip for out of the house but only because I have 12 of them and only 4 thirsties prefolds but I def. like the thirsties better.

Would a size 1 even work for a toddler?

I would definitely go with size 2. That's what we stuff in pockets at night. The size one are really small.

If you are using them to stuff pockets, a size 1 should be fine. Size 2 as a pocket stuffer is night worthy. Waaaaaaay to bulky for day. Doubt you could get the carseat snapped.

Same here.

I like the Flip organic night inserts too but the size 2 Thirsties hemp pfs are cheaper and close to the same absorbency. They hold my HW toddler well.

I prefer cotton over hemp, so I would use the Flip! I've tried both and both would be more than sufficient for out and about.

If she wants to use them for out & about won't they be too bulky? That is why I suggested Size 1. Are they really that tiny?

Re: thirsties pfs or flip "night" inserts for out and about?

I hated the flip insert... I found the flip insert to be way too bulky and stiff even for night. I also didn't find them any more absorbant than a large flat with a doubler (which was less bulky).
