I've done
Cover less. Normally you'll use a cover if you're attaching with a boingo or snappi as there is a risk of it coming undone and hurting the baby. But pins are awesome for giving cover less time in a flat.

I'm a snappi user so I always use a cover. No matter how hard I try I can never get the legs snug enough to be confident they will contain the liquidy newborn poop. So that's another reason I always use a cover even on tiny ones.

Re: Flat fold tutorials - consolidated (SUPER pic heavy)

I did flats without covers during the daytime at home. It worked until dd started to army crawl, then the snappis kept coming off. I used a cover then.

I have a heavy wetter, so I have to padfold. But I love that you can adjust the rise on a flat in comparison to a prefold.

Re: Flat fold tutorials - consolidated (SUPER pic heavy)

Such a great post. I just started using flats and I love the flexibility of the folds. It makes me feel like an old timey ingenuity woman.

Thumbs up Re: Flat fold tutorials - consolidated (SUPER pic heavy)

The one type I haven't tried yet are flats because I've been terrified of them for some silly reason. Thanks for posting this tutorial because now I think I'll give them a shot.

Re: Flat fold tutorials - consolidated (SUPER pic heavy)

Thanks so much for doing this. I'm starting to switch from prefolds to flats and this is very helpful. I like them way better because they create a trim and better fit for my baby.
