Too big for BBLP?

I'm starting to EC with DS and I really want to get a potty that he can sit on without having to sit on me (I currently use, well try to use, DDs 'bucket' from her potty. Nothing special).

How big was your child when they seemed too big for the BBLP? DS is 20lbs and in 12mo clothing, so to say he's the size of a 1yr old isn't much of an exaggeration (although he is VERY topheavy still, lol).

Should I get a little potty or go straight to a regular BB potty? Would skipping the little potty really be that big of a deal?

P.S. One would say we only part time EC as we don't do it at night or when we leave, he basically just has 'naked time' at this point, which is most of the day. Gotta work on getting those babylegs so I can turn down my gas bill...
