I'm addicted to jars.

I'm actually looking around my house trying to figure out what else I can store in jars. I have most of my baking supplies, dried fruit, and nuts/seeds. I'm actually thinking of decanting my tea bags into mason jars. You read that right. I'm just on this huge organizing kick. What have you all been doing lately to organize after purging?

I want to do this too. What do you have your flour in?

I have our flour in these:

I love glass jar storage, its just so pretty. I am trying to figure out how to make the dry foods open shelving look prettier though. Im considering lining the cabinet in contact paper and then doing some DIY pretty labels, like these:

I loved that flour jar. I would love that, but it doesn't make sense for me as I have mine in the giant tupperware tubs that hold the big flour bags.

Re: I'm addicted to jars.

Yeah, I have the big 25lb bags of flour that I store in the freezer and then pour into those as needed. I used to use tupperware like that and Id keep the flour in the bag because I was paranoid about the food sitting in plastic, but I prefer this method now...I HATE trying to scoop flour out of the bag, it just gets everywhere.

I seriously keep my tea bags in mason jars, so I had to when I read your first post. I am in love with jars too.

I want a big ceramic "jug" to keep my flour in, but they are SO expensive. It is on my someday list!

Re: I'm addicted to jars.

Ignore the top shelf.

Flour, sugar, whole wheat flour, and oatmeal are on the bottom right. They are in plastic now but I do want to go to glass when I figure out exactly how I want to arrange. I have two rows of the quart size mason jars, so I plan on using a 2X4 cut to size across the back of the shelf, to lift the back row a few inches so I can add labels and see them, and access them more easily.

I need another dozen jars to finish emptying the second shelf of dried fruit.

These are out on the counter top and I snack on them constantly.

I have one empty jar, I think I'll go put my teabags into it lol.

I also keep my tea bags in a jar and they sit on the counter since we drink multiple cups a day around here. Actually, there are four jars: reg tea, decaf tea, mint tea and coffee. Practical decorating.

im a jar addict too. I think it looks cleaner than having things in plastic bags or boxes. so I do chips in there all the way to baking items and snacks. I love it. I dont have a matching collection like you tho. I use pasta glass jars mainly.

It does look cute. I had a leftover 2-qt cracker jar that I put a mismatch of tea bags into. I'll probably leave it on the countertop since I've been drinking more of it lately. Glad I'm not alone!
