Re: Public to Homeschool

You are more than qualified. That's a big fear to new homeschooling parents and it is usually unfounded.

What homeschool look likes really depends on the family. You don't have to replicate a school day at home.

For you reading her could do a book report or he could write his own ending. He could write a short play. He could act out his favorite scene or create an art piece. The possibilities are endless.

Families usually start with a curriculum because there is a comfort of knowing what needs to be done usually with accompanying assignments. You might find it works for you or you might find it restrictive. I've followed a curriculum and I've also just developed my own guidelines.

So for example, I've pulled my kid out of the little school here and I am continuing to follow their curriculum. He had a short reading assignment with four follow up assignments. He understands the concepts and is ready to move on. Does he need to do 4 assignments to prove mastery? I'm having him do one and then moving on.

Here to help if I can.

Re: Public to Homeschool

Home assignments were a constant issue for me, happily the elder "kid" has grown and copes with everything by himself. By the way, if here are some moms of students at this forum, I highly recommend checking these homework apps , they can uplift one's studying results immediately.
