FWIW I ended up shipping it first class through the post office as per the buyers request (wanted cheepest shipping and the "risk" rather than paying twice the amount for the insurance...)
sent out on October 11th from USA AZ to Austria (europe) The post office said probably 10 days but it would depend on how fast customs was.. arrived to the buyer on the 18th SO really easy smooth transation.
