Bday party at school playground?

Hey y'all... is there any law or problem that y'all can foresee with having DS's bday party at a school playground. We want to do it at the park, but they're all so crowded on the weekends! Usually at the school by us, there are a few families, but not the masses. It has 3 different sized playgrounds, a duck pond and a big field so plenty of room to play for all ages. No picnic tables, but I figure we can bring a few. I just don't want to get the crew there to have the police tell us we can't do that.

You need to contact the school district and find out. I have been in some areas where it wouldn't be a big deal, and other areas where it would be a major issue.

I agree with PP. Best to call and find out. I know the schools around here don't like people on the playgrounds outside of school hours because of liability issues.

Definitely call the school. I can't imagine the district allowing a private party/non-school function on school grounds so find out first right from them.

Not allowed here. You can only have sanctioned functions(Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts) and we have to pay for a staff member to be on property.
