With these headaches (during this pregnancy), they intensify when I sleep, and wake me up in the middle of the night with nausea. I puked at 3:45 this morning, and again around 7am before I drove the kids to school. Came back at 7:30, laid down for about 45 minutes, got up got dressed, laid back down for 30 minutes, went to my appointment at 9:30, came home around 11am, laid BACK down after I ate lunch, at around 12:15-12:30 I think, and then got up at 2:30 to go get the kids. I am feeling a LOT better, but not 100%. These migraines drain me. I'm going to do a little bit around the house, work for a few, and take a break. I'm seriously scared to do too much, because I know it'll just result in another headache. Just sucks, though, because since I slept so much today (thank GOD DH is home), I won't be able to sleep tonight. Peppermint tea, here I come!
Yeah I get to where pressure of head against pillow is too much, but I'm too dizzy/nauseated to sit up, it's brutal. Mine are cycle/hormone related as well, my neuro last time tried to talk me into no more kids because of it. I'm really ticked because the midwife that can write Rx's for fioricet said it would be no big deal for her to write one up when I neared 3rd trimester and had to taper off of motrin. I called her 2 weeks ago asking for one and she didn't call me back for days and then when she did, told me she didn't feel comfortable writing it and wanted me to go to the neuro (she has all my neuro's records from last pregnancy too). I was livid, I'd have scheduled my neuro appointment long before now except she had said she could write for my fioricet when I got to that point. I don't like taking it because I get awful rebound headaches, but now it's all I have.

Sorry for the O/T rant.

I feel you. I won't take it, period. I'd rather deal with a 2-3 day headache. I've heard horror stories about it. :/ I'd rather deal with a headache that I know I can somewhat handle at home, then take Fioricet, and be forced to go to the ER because it makes my headache worse. I've only been to the ER one time for my headaches, and it was about 4 months after my youngest was born. I was on birth control, and I could not stop throwing up. Impossible. Couldn't stop moving, was curled up in a fetal position crying in my bed. After about 6 hours of this, DH decided we needed to go. They gave me a cocktail of meds at the ER, sent me home with Reglan, and that was that. I stopped birth control immediately (because I KNEW that's what it was), but I've had cyclic headaches since then. I never used to get them before he was born. Once in a blue moon, but it was rare.

Updated. I am not doing very well at all today. I am getting past a cold and I feel like someone punched me in the head.

Totally. I still haven't put dinner in the crockpot. It's 2:30 here. Guess I will stick it on high and hope for the best?
