Canada

I've never been interested in visiting, but dh is insisting we go there in the next year or so. Where would you suggest for a family vacation with a four year old boy and a one year old?

What part of the country are you interested in visiting? It's huge, so narrowing it down a bit might help us help you.

Both the East and West coasts are beautiful and full of adventure. If you're looking for theme parks, southern Ontario has tons.

I've lived all over Canada and definitely East or West coast. Vancouver and area has tons to do. Ontario (where we live) is beautiful, home to Niagara Falls and a gazillion activities mostly Toronto Area and south. If you go further east to the maritimes there is a lot of beautiful scenery, hiking, beaches etc.

Re: Canada

I love Vancouver; used to drive up there all the time to ride at Stanley Park (HUGE!). Plenty of things to do as families, things are closer together so easier on travel. Sure, there are traffic like any big tourist friendly cities not to mention the sheer number of J-walkers among prostitutes and druggies but they aren't threatening either.

One thing I have to mention, there are a lot of vehicle break in's so just don't leave anything in the car especially with any rental car or US plates. They like to target any tourists. I learned my lesson years ago. And the thieves love to steal those antenna balls. Jack in the Box balls apparently are stolen all the time. Mine was stolen once lol. Other than that one fact it's still an awesome place to visit.

Would love to go to Toronto to visit a friend next time though. Seems like a beautiful and fun city.
