They will find somewhere to sleep and be just fine. They are designed for outdoor living.

Re: Mice...I hate them and I need your knowledge.

This whole discussion is making me laugh which I sorely needed.

The company the lady currently uses apparently fills holes with this foam type stuff which is hideous but does fill holes.

It makes no sense though. She pays for $$$$ for pest service but then in her bathroom there are huge holes in the cabinet around the pipes which are like inviting mice doorways. Fill all the holes is mice 101 is it not.

I will not get snakes because snakes.

I'm not afraid of snakes though.

What other animals eat mice?

Really? Outdoor cats can really be outdoor cats. Learn something new everyday. My city is showing today.

Re: Mice...I hate them and I need your knowledge.

Supposedly you can fill all the holes with steel wool.

When we lived in the city, we ended up with mice. I could hear one chewing in the kitchen. We bought an electric trap and put peanut butter in to lure them. The last one was a huge rat! It still died with most of the body outside the trap. My never-gonna-get-a-cat husband agreed to get a cat after that. Ours is a house cat that never goes outside. We havenít had a mouse problem since. None of us are allergic though.

Iíve heard of peppermint oil in cotton balls detract them too, like previous posters mentioned.

Rats in the city are a reality fortunately. We were walking to Museum of Fine Arts and they must have just put out fresh rat poison because there were lots of dead rats. My boys still talk about it.

I need a bald cat.

They do have hairless cats. If you want an indoor cat look into getting a Sphinx. It will need clothes, though.

Agla-if you do get a cat, know that the "mouser" gene isn't in all cats. Being a good hunter is definitely a hereditary trait.

Yes to steel wool. Foam is a quick fill, but it'd have to be some special mice-repelling kind, they just chew through spray foam insulation.

Not sure if I'd be more grossed out by the mice or the naked cat! Can hairless cats spend much time outdoors?
