Re: If you have used Fleece and Wool cover: Did you find one more breathable or the s

All I know is that I get incredibly hot when I sleep in fleece pj pants & could not imagine ever having to wear fleece socks. Fleece pj pants don't bother me at all on lazy days at home (I just can't handle them at night when my internal temp rises). But, I adore wool socks & felted wool slippers - so comfortable anytime.

Emotibums fleece products are so cute & I can't wait to use them during the day time on our belly baby. For nights I prefer to stick to wool because i know it worked great with our twins.

Interesting point.

Thanks to all --- it sounds like they might be equally breathable -- but for summer wool might be more comfortable

my DS2 still has accidents at night, and especially when we're battling diaper rash, I find he heals quicker with sticking to just wool (I just bought a few wool sweaters to upcycled into pants/covers for him)

While I personally feel the same, I think it depends on sweating maybe. I generally am not one to sweat much. My 2nd son sweats terribly at night, like soaks entirely through his pillow to the backside, to the degree that it will still be damp the following night at bedtime. yucko.

Recently I made him shorts & a tank from fleece & a fleece pillow cover & fllece sheet & no joke, I checked in about 4am (when I usually change his pillow out for him) and he was barely moist when he would normally be a wet mess. I did not expect it to work so well, but it's worked perfectly every night since.

No more waking me at 4am telling me his pillow is very angry with him. Poor booger. He is normally a miserable wet mess all summer & often even in cooler months. Never occurred to me that his "better" nights had been when in fleece pj's. He is better off in fleece than naked.

So for him I can even see it's been cooling. That said, I'm not making myself fleece summer jams any time soon.
