snappi, boingo or pins....

...for prefolds under pull-on covers?

I want to use prefolds (not trifolded) for our next baby because they can be used trifolded in a wrap-style cover once they are outgrown as a full coverage diaper. And because they'll line dry well and not require the amount of additional folding that flats do, this just seems like a more economical and user-friendly choice for us.

But I have never used a prefold ever, let alone a snappi, boingos or pins and am trying to figure out what works well with what.

I know snappis work well with snug fitting covers (from what I've read, anyway) but will they stay fastened under a pull-on style cover like dappi or bummis?

In general I'm not a huge fan of Snappis once baby is pretty mobile. I prefer pins at that point.:-)

I Like snappis even on my toddler. You just have to stretch them a bit for a good fit.

Re: snappi, boingo or pins....

I've used boingos on prefolds under a pull on cover. I like to fasten on sides. I liked it okay. I'm not a big fan of prefolds but that has been my favorite way to use them. DS is not mobile yet, tho.

I like Snappis best but they aren't that expensive so why not get one of each to try?

I prefer boingos. In fact anyone want to trade boingos for my two size 1 snappies?

Snappis for sure! I use them on my almost 2 year under wool with no issues (and have used under Bummis pull ons). They are easy to adjust for a snug fit and go on easily. I would never trust boingos under a pull on or wool cover, I find they frequently come loose (I don't use them anymore really). Pins just take a lot of effort to adjust if needed and I don't have time for that on a squirmy toddler.
