repair vs replace?

How do you decide? LO is due in January. Many of my dipes from DS (now 4) have lost the stretchy in the elastic. Due to heat & lack of use I assume. How do you decide what is worth repairing? And where do you get them repaired?

Re: repair vs replace?

For me, with little skill, I would say it matters what you have. Some things are alot easier to replace than others.

If you have a cloth diaper shop around you can ask them for information -- any sewstress could repair them but you'd want them to know what a cloth diaper is. I know there are people you can send them to online. but paying shipping both ways, + elastic + time seems like it wouldn't be worth it. but maybe especially if you have alot.
