Depending on if I was using worsted or light bulky I would use between 7(worsted)-9 oz(light bulky) of yarn for those measurements. Usually I have 1-.7 oz of trim left over. That would be enough for a pocket.

Excellent! I really like the contrasting waist and cuffs but after seeing those owls I really really want a trim colored pocket

MM Chocolat on Rambo, Beemer Knits darker bananafish on BBR, MM Winter Pear on BFL (definitely the softest...)
