Safe toys?

I'm starting to do research on toys and overwhelmed by what's on the Internet. Can anyone recommend a good site to get safe toys? Anyone here already did research? I think the general consensus is wood is better than plastic. But I do see a lot of wood toys made in China still and some even have lead in it!?!

We like the green toys brand. They are dishwasher safe

For bath toys the company Hevea makes natural rubber ones, they also make natural rubber pacifiers too. I personally like some of the soft toys I've found on etsy (many upcycled/organic fabrics and are handmade) I have seen some wood also but haven't personally ordered any

I been purging plastic toys. I got my girl two handmade dolls (at second hand store) and i will replace her barbies and plastic dolls with that.

Did you find anything clean and reasonably priced or good resources for making your own baby toys? Or even a swap for natural toys ? I'm also wondering if I should buy a glass or stainless steel sippy straw cup because our daughter is liking water these days and the 99cents light up Minnie mouse straw cup my mom uses is kinda weird for me.

Re: Safe toys?

We use the klean kanteen stainless steel water bottle with the sippy, and later sport lid, as soon as they are ready for water.
