Baby Shirts

So, I really love t-shirts, especially kimono style / side snapping for my babies, since I do fitted diapers with wool. Onesies do not work out so well with that combo.

But it is like, crazy hard to find shirts for babies, especially long-sleeves and kimono style / side snapping, let along long sleeved KS / SS!

Oh, I can find shirts for $15 - $20 a piece, plus shipping, but that is really expensive, I think, for something for a baby.

I can find them cheaper, but always in blue, pink, or white, or packs of gender specific. I can't find nice, earthy, gender-neutral colors at all!

I have a business license. I have found two companies with some great colors on wholesale shirts meeting my criteria - short and long sleeve lap shirts and long sleeved side snapping.

I was considering selling them. I don't know what pricing would be, since I don't know what the wholesale prices are yet. I'm thinking maybe $6 - $10 per shirt (many are organic) for the plain shirts, and $10 - $14 for embellished shirts (no idea yet what the embellishment would be). I'd sell them here, on my website, and maybe HC.

Just trying to find out if anyone has any interest in this, or is it just me?

Re: Baby Shirts

I had the same questions about products I love that aren't widely available. I haven't figured out yet what my costs would be. Do you have some money to start out buying stock?

I would love stuff like that! It's tough to find stuff to go with longies that aren't ridiculously pricey...and we don't always want "baby colors" pricing goes materials + hourly rate to pay yourself+ fees and shipping. (i just learned that! )

I would definitely be interested in that! I was actually just looking today for shirts for my little guy. Uhm, yeah good luck on that! LOL I can never find shirts that don't have stuff like "boys rule" type of stuff on them!

I'd be interested. I would probably do my own embellishing so I'd just be interested in the solid color shirt.

Re: Baby Shirts

I would totally buy them. I love side snapping shirts but can't find plain ones anywhere. We have 1 hand me down that must have been owned by a baby in the hospital because the manufacturer is a medical supply company, but I can't even find them through their company that would fit a young toddler.

Re: Baby Shirts

I do side snapping shirts when my LOs are newborn, so I don't have to disturb them often when I need to change them and such. I usually go for whatever I can find for the cheapest price though. I might consider buying some in a different color, but I'm not sure. I suppose it depends on what it's for and I'd love to see what embelishments they have to offer also.
