Formula feeding moms - when did dc stop waking for a bottle?

DS goes off and on. He is 11 mos and still wakes for a bottle I would say 2-3 times/week. I usually just give him 4 ozs. He eats lots of real food during the day and has usually 3 8 oz. bottles of formula as well. Your input is appreciated!

My son is only 5 months and sleeps from 8-6... So I havent had that problem yet.
My older son now 2 use to wake up numerous times for a bottle... I put an end to that by giving him water instead...
Water was to boring to him so he stopped waking up.

My son is currently 20 mo. old and still wakes up ~5 am sometimes and gets 4-5 oz of milk. He also gets ~7 oz b4 bed (he's still not a big eater).
DD on the other hand stopped having a bottle b4 bed or in the middle of the night when she was ~ 1 year old. But she was also the biggest lil porker out there eating everything in sight

If I don't respond, it's because we're 6 hrs ahead of EST and I might be sleeping already

When I switched DD #2 to formula, she woke up to eat all the time until 18 months. We co slept until then, I'm not sure if it's related, but once she started sleeping in her own crib she slept through.

Re: Formula feeding moms - when did dc stop waking for a bottle?

DD went down to only wanting a couple of ounces at night when she was around 9 months old - she was drinking *plenty* during the day and taking some solids then, so I figured it was probably a learned thing at that point and that she didn't need those few ounces, so when she woke up, I would cuddle with her, but not give the bottle. Soon thereafter, she was sleeping all the way through the night - guess she liked her sleep more than cuddling! BTW, cutting out those nighttime feedings allowed us to cd at night, too - before that, she would flood whatever we put her in.

Re: Formula feeding moms - when did dc stop waking for a bottle?

Lucas was about 14 months...he'd been waking around 5 before that, taking 6 oz., and going back to sleep.

He's 17 months now and he still gets a bedtime bottle...about 6 oz.

DS will be 11 months next week and he still wakes for one ... but he's down to 1 bottle at night when he goes to bed and one in the middle of the night and food and sippy cup the rest of the time so we are hoping to break that bottle time soon.
