6 months of ebf and feel like I'm losing supply

Lo turned 6 months on th 10th and just recently I feel like my boobs feel really empty. He use to get satisfied off nursing from one side and now he empties both. I also use to have crazyyyyyy spraying/squirting let downs and now I can barely feel my let downs and they don't last for that long anymore. My boobs have slowly been feeling less and less full up until this point.. Please tell me my supply is ok still

Re: 6 months of ebf and feel like I'm losing supply

Is he nursing more than usual lately? There is a rather large growth spurt that happens around 6 mos. For me, I'd feel emptier for a few days while baby nursed a ton and then eventually everything would catch back up again. Check in with an LC if need be, they can help a lot.

All of what you describe is normal--the reduction in the feeling of letdowns, less leaking and spraying, breasts feeling softer, baby changing nursing habits. None of it says reduced supply to me. If baby still has wet and poopy diapers, seems reasonably happy after nursing, and is gaining, you're doing fine.

I started experiencing all this. At just about a year old, my nursing tanks are way loose at the top and my boobs don't get rock hard engorged anymore. I'd say you're fine.

The same thing happened to me around that time. For me, my supply was finally regulating. If baby is happy, sounds normal

Thanks for the reassurance mamas! and yes baby is having regular pee and poopie diapers. I was just making sure I wasn't slowly losing my milk, I'd cry!

It sounds normal to me. The same happened with my boobs around that time. I'm back in my B-cups now, and rarely get engorged. I used to have to wear nursing pads all the time, but stopped around 6-7 months. There was still enough milk though!
