Soakers/Shorties/Longies Poll

Would you buy soakers/shorties/longies made out of acrylic? Maybe someone with a child with allergies to wool?

If I had a child with wool allergies I would buy cotton!

I personally don't like the texture of acrylic. So i'd use fleece covers. Cotton isn't waterproof like acrylic and wool.

There was no option for me.

I wouldn't buy acrylic just because I like the properties of wool. I do change diapers often though, so I couldn't fall in that last category.

If my child had a wool allergy, I would use fleece or maybe cotton. I just don't like the acrylic yarns.

I buy wool because of it's breathability in this hot climate and the acrylic just doesn't have the same properties. I think it feels fine, but I just don't have any need for it so I probably wouldn't buy it.

I have a pair out of acrylic... it's like fleece, you know? man made.
They were a great buy and are good for "hanging around" PLUS with a baby who crawls, so AWESOME to wash.... It's a good option for those who don't want to spend $90 or whatever on spendy longies...

Re: Soakers/Shorties/Longies Poll

My youngest (5.5 pounder) wore an acrylic one every night for about 6 months. Thesame one! We just washed it every day. It was out of a cool vintage yarn, not like the modern stuff that you can buy at Walmart. I was fantastic....

It has very different properties than wool, is more like a fleece cover rather than awool soaker. But it kept her bed (and ours ) dry.
