Hypnobabies mamas, please use your BOP.

After weeks of prodromal labour, for which my hypnosis was very helpful, active labour kicked in on Feb. 16.

I couldn't get into hypnosis during active labour, because neither sitting nor lying down were options due to the pressure in my bottom. Without the ability to switch off, I coped the best I could by chanting "peace" and "open, open, open". I focused on dilating, and that the only way to end it was to go through it. I was able to ask for exactly what I needed during my birthing time, from hip pressure to drinks.

After less than 5 hours of true birthing time, our DD was born naturally at home in our tub as planned. It was not comfortable. It was the greatest accomplishment of my life.

Weight 8 lbs 4 oz, length 20.5", gestation either 40+3 or 41+1.
