I always have a hard time cleaning the poo without getting stuff everywhere, is a diaper sprater mpre effective, I feel like its peanut buttery most of the time.

I'd probably give up without a diaper sprayer honestly. It is incredibly easy. We just used a regular sink sprayer with a cup hook on the wall to loop it over.

How are you doing it now? I just dunk and swirl in the toilet and the rest comes off in the wash. As long as you're getting most of the solids off you should be fine.

I have a bad relationship with my sprayer. Yes it works, but poop gets everywhere. (Splatter) I've heard some families use a dedicated silicone spatula to scrape off into the toilet.

I preferred using a diaper sprayer but I got one at the baby shower so was using it since day 1 of solid foods basically. No experience without!

Re: Best way to clean the,poo

You could also let it soak in the toilet, it's just hard to remember to come back to it sometimes. The nanny we had didn't like the diaper sprayer, I think, and she told me she soaked and swished.

But really you just need to get the chunks off that might have leftover food partials that are too big to be washed out with the water (like undigested corn, fruit skins, etc). That is what doesn't get cleaned up by the washer... i know from experience (twice) once without cleaning off the poo and once without cleaning off the puke -- cleaning the washer of this leftover "cleaned" bits takes forever and though they are cleaned it really not fun.

Sounds like you could try a sprayer or maybe a spatula would be enough for the times you feel the swish doesn't quite get enough -- or just use a wipe to knock off the last bits...
