Did Thirsties Duo Wrap/Line work from birth on your newborn?

Did Thirsties Duo Wrap/Line work from birth on your newborn(s)?

The Duo wrap worked great on my son from birth but he was also larger at 8.5lbs, didn't lose an oz, and was wearing smalls and OS in his third week of life.

I was curious if DS was the norm or the exception.

Please tell me your experience!

Yes it worked on my 5lb newborn as well as my 7lb newborn. I was able to fold it down under the cord and keep it loose. But we were using preemie prefolds and then newborns with a good jelly roll so it wasn't a problem.

Re: Did Thirsties Duo Wrap/Line work from birth on your newborn?

I loved the Thirsties wrap on my 7lb 13oz baby girl, she lost about 8oz. They fit wonderfully over the infant PFs we used. However, I don't think they actually fit once baby gets bigger-meaning not all the way to 18lbs unless you have skinny babies. My Bean is a chunk and by 16lbs I was having a hard time snapping them because the waist wasn't big enough. The rise was fine though, I still feel like I got my money's worth out of the size one.

Yes, the whole size one line fit her from birth (7 lbs 12 oz, 18 in long) to almost 20 lbs. Have several size one AIOs for our expected twins.

My kids start out small-framed but with rolls and grow to be petite (but not skinny) with small waists. They're compact but muscular--just really easy to fit. I've never found a diaper that gave us fit problems. Dd wore FuzziBunz smalls from 3 weeks to 18 months.

Yeah I don't think they worked up to 18lbs for us either, but still worth it!

true though some have found them to work on their 5Lb the biggest issue for us was the rise is was just way way too long I couldn;t fold over enought material to make it work.. The legs gapped too but honestly that was not a huge issue all her covers gapped in some way.

Yes the fit DD at birth8 pounds. However I dont see how the size 1 will fit till 18lbs. DD is 13lb and the pockets are getting a little small. There is also a difference in sizing. A duo cover fits different than a pocket than an AIO. She fits in the 2 now in the pockets and AIO.

Duo 1 covers that my friend gave me theywere about 2 years old are smaller than the new duo 1 cover I bought.
