If you delayed introducing solids...
How did you deal with a pediatrician who was not supportive?
I told my 7 month old's (5 months adjusted) pediatrician that I didn't feel that he was ready for solids, and she insisted that he needed them and told me to get rice cereal. I explained that he didn't have any signs of being interested in or ready for food, but she just kind of steamrolled over me, and I just said "sure, we'll try the rice cereal" so we could get out of there. We go back this coming week and I want to be more assertive. I don't want to be rude, but I want my voice heard on this. I'm not sure of the best way to proceed. |

I'm sorry mama!
Keep on mind they are providing a service. You can go elsewhere. Bring some information. Printed out from a reliable/respectable website. Discuss why you feel he isn't ready. If you are still not heard.....go elsewhere
